vep4u is a south korea–based startup specializing in immersive 3d medical training solutions for hospitals and universities.
as a UX/UI design contractor, i led a full redesign of their company website to modernize the visual identity and streamline how information is presented.
problem
the previous website lacked clarity, visual consistency, and a cohesive narrative of the company’s offerings.
the information architecture was fragmented, causing key product value propositions to be buried across pages.
to address this, the marketing manager requested a website refresh to better present the company to potential clients.
goals & metrics
what does success look like?
clean and modern visual identity
simplified and intuitive information architecture
clear product storytelling
role
ux/ui designer
i served as the primary UX/UI designer, responsible for elevating the website through modern visual design and a restructured information architecture.
i collaborated closely with stakeholders across time zones and language differences, ensuring the design aligned with their product vision while remaining globally accessible and scalable for future updates.

approach
how are we tackling this problem?
1) wireframe style pitches
created low-fidelity wireframes and two high-fidelity landing page concepts using the brand palette to present initial design directions..
2) information architecture mapping
redefined the site structure and navigation to improve clarity and ensured consistent CTAs for easy demo booking.
3) iterations & delivery
client selected version 2 after the kickoff call and fully rebuilt the site in wix, delivering the finalized website within one month.
iterations
[landing page concept version 1]

[landing page concept version 2]

after the initial call, client has selected version 2 of the design, and granted me access to their wix account to complete a full website revamp based on the selected style.
[new information architecture]

this flowchart determined the structure of the navigation bar.
i also made sure to include a call-to-action (cta) button at every page for easy access to book a demo call with vep4u.

impact
what was i able to accomplish?
the redesigned website delivered a clearer narrative, improved navigation, and a more modern visual identity, making it easier for prospective clients to understand the company’s value.
the client was highly satisfied with the final product, requiring only a single minor post-contract touch-up on my end, reflecting the versatility and ease of use of the template i have developed.
conclusion
overall, this project was an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with an international client and strengthen my cross-cultural communication skills while applying what i learned from my ux/ui bootcamp.
takeaway
what have i learnt?
looking back, i recognize that i have missed the opportunity to establish analytics tracking or benchmark metrics, focusing solely on delivering exactly what the client had asked for.
if I were to do similar projects again, i would implement clear success measures such as bounce rate, time on site, and/or cta engagement to better capture impact beyond the requested scope.
even so, the experience gave me confidence in managing real-world constraints, building strong client relationships, and delivering a redesigned website that met the team’s goals
